 Virus Information - Shrug virus:

Win32/Shrug virus gets activated upon execution of infected file. This virus infects 32 bit Windows files like .EXE, .SCR, .OCX, .DLL under current folder and its sub-folders. When an infected file is run, the following message box is displayed.



It appends its code to the end of PE files. The virus corrupts some files. When these corrupted files are accessed, a message box is displayed. The title of this message box contains the name of the file accessed.

Shrug virus first appeared during March 2002.
